Recap of Our Week

Varsity had the week off, but JV didn't!  This past weekend was the JV Conference tournament.  Lockport finished with 203 points, edging out Lincoln-Way West (202) for 2nd place.  Sandburg won the team title, with 251.5 points.

Individually, the Porters were led by Matt Ramos (106) and Chris McMurtry (126), each capturing championships.  McMurtry won several close matches, while Ramos continued where he left off filling in on varsity, pinning his way through the tournament (Matt has won over 10 consecutive matches by pinfall at this point).

Finishing in second place for Lockport  were Sal Farbo (113) and Tyler Krestel (132).  Third place finishes include Amer Shafiq (138), Duncan Sawyer (145), and Ethan Maurella (220)

Lockport had a pair of wrestlers take 5th place as well - Jake D'Angelo (120) and Jack Mladic (182).  Eli Metzger (100) finished 6th, Demitri Hernandez (152) finished 7th, and Kevin Giroux (160) finished in 8th, rounding out the placers.
